My OS is windows 7 and I use outlook 2007.  I am now getting the following message when I open Outlook : Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook.  cannot open the Outlook window.  The set of folders cannot be opened.  The file C:\Users\User\AppData\Local \Microsoft|Outlook\Jegajothy.msn4.ost cannot be accessed.  You must connect to Microsoft Exchange at leat once before you can use your offline folder file.

I have not installed any new programs and I cannot understand why.  Even the icons onthe task bar are also gone and I have to load it from the Programs.
Thank u.

Hallo,

If it is an Exchange account your using the easy solution is to try move/rename/delete the .ost file and have Outlook make a new one, and download all the information from Exchange.

If that does not work, then there is only back to try and delete the Outlook profile, and make a new one... This is don from the Control Panel > Mail > then to the profiles and delete an create.
