This method uses powershell. You will want to change the values in -issuewarningQuota 90MB -ProhibitSendQuota 100MB as well, to your specifications

Does Powershell have you tied up in knots?

Managing Active Directory does not always have to be complicated.  If you are spending more time trying instead of doing, then it's time to look at something else. For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why

Which method did you use?
try this one "Set-MailboxDatabase -Identity "servername\Mailbox" -IssueWarningQuota unlimited -ProhibitSendQuota 250MB -ProhibitSendReceiveQuota unlimited"

then run Get-Mailbox -ResultSize unlimited |Where{($_.UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults -eq $false)} and see which users are not set to default

Hi,

When I run the below script I get the below error.

I remember that 1st the username was MathewA and then after I changed it to MathewJ. the script does not run under both old or new username.

[PS] C:\>Set-MailboxDatabase -Identity "Exchange\MathewJ" -IssueWarningQuota
 unlimited -ProhibitSendQuota 250MB -ProhibitSendReceiveQuota unlimited

Set-MailboxDatabase : The operation could not be performed because object 'Exchange\MathewJ' could not be found on domain controller 'Exchange\.LIUK.COM'.
At line:1 char:20
+ Set-MailboxDatabase <<<<  -Identity "Exchange\MathewJ" -IssueWarningQuota
 unlimited -ProhibitSendQuota 250MB -ProhibitSendReceiveQuota unlimited
    + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (0:Int32) [Set-MailboxDatabase], M
   anagementObjectNotFoundException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 52944FF7,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemCon
   figurationTasks.SetMailboxDatabase

"Set-MailboxDatabase -Identity "servername\Mailbox" -IssueWarningQuota unlimited -ProhibitSendQuota unlimited -ProhibitSendReceiveQuota unlimited"

I should have been clearer "servername\Mailbox" needs to be "yourexchange_servername\mailboxdatabasename" to function correctly

This is applied organization wide

run the BPa (best practices analyzer) under tools in the exchange management console and post any critical errors or post the entire xml file

Well Aparently if I do this manually to each user it works fine.

[PS] C:\>Set-Mailbox USERNAME1 -UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults:$False -issuewarningQuota 90MB
 -ProhibitSendQuota "UNLIMITED" -ProhibitSendReceive "UNLIMITED"
