Hi

Exchange 2010 has changed the address from https://ipaddress/exchange to https://ipaddress/owa.

To solve your pop3 mail I would setup outlook anywhere and use exchange instead of pop3. Exchange connector uses port 443 so no need to open up anymore ports.

What abt ipad and blackberries??
Many thanks.
If you can access OWA internally using https://localip/owa then you should be able to access it externally through https://publicup/owa . You just need to ensure that your router is forwarding your public ip port to the server.

I would advise you to use a decent firewall like ISA or UAG to avoid unnecessary intrusion.

i can access it the owa from outside...thats fine..but i am not sure how to combine ipad config and exchange configuration + blackberries etc as well...

thanks.
IPAD will work through activesync, ensure it is enabled.

For BB you need to use the BIS option and more professinally, you would need to install a BES Server which will manage your BB devices.

For the BIS option, you will have to enter the address as https://ip/owa and the user name would be 'first name ' 'last name'  . I had some trouble getting it to work effeciently with BIS so we moved to BES.
For the ipad, just choose the mail setting, new account and the use the exchange option. put in the ip address, thats all. (for mail server)
name = domain\username
password = *****
Its really easy on any mobile phone except Blackberry

ipad setup

Generally speaking choose exchange config and enter your external server address and username and password and thats it

As for blackberry it might be worth looking at this website:-
