Hi,

I have installed a UC cert on a SBS2011 server and when I test RDP to one of the PC in the network through https://mail.ABC.com/remote (Remote Web Access portal) and I get the following error. I'm not sure what I'm missing here, any idea would be much appreciated.

 RDP error

There are a number of things you need to check. I assume that you use an RDP version 7 client and specify the PCs name on the computer host and mail.abc.com on the RD gateway config page. Try this before attempting to use the web based client.

check
1) Port 443 forwarded through router
2) Can you access OWA? https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/
3) Remote Desktop Gateway service configured, certificate installed?
4) Can you RDP to the computer from within the local network?
5) Can you establish an RDP session to the server?

Other link to check, although much of it is done for you by the SBS install.

Hope that helps

The default RDP port has been changed to 3390 in the registry. Your troubleshooting steps helps.

Thank you.

Changing default port to some other port is not mentioned as one possibility by the expert.
