Hi all, is there a way to create separate backups for system state and files that are on the server.  For example, we would like to back up one of the volumes on a server which house only non critical files once a week and keep it for 7 days, but at the same time, do a system state backup nightly for those 7 days.  We are using disk to disk backup only.

Thanks in advance

David

You should be able to do this by creating separate Protection Groups for the different levels of protection you require. The first group would have the System State backups as members with the relevant retention goals and the second would have the disk or share containing the non-critical files. This group can have different retention goals.
