Commercials play when i turn on my PC

I hear commercials when i start my internet connection and i am using google classic as my home page
how can i turn off these commecials without muting the internet explorer sound
this is for a client who says all he downloaded was an espn information site

try scanning for malware using
MalwareBytes

Also try Virus scans
