I've been using Backup Exec 12.5 Admin console on a Windows 2003 server.  I would like to install CPS 12.5 on my second Windows 2003 server which is currently running an agent.  I have the download of Backup Exec 12.5 but I do not see any reference to CPS.  No where can I find CPS 12.5 software.  When I log onto Symantec website with my serial numbers it tells me 12.5 is no longer available.  First questions.....does anyone know where I can get CPS 12.5, or second question can I run CPS 2010 on my second server and 12.5 Admin console on my main server.  Thanks

One, you would need a license for CPS, and another server. It is designed to replicate to another device (seperate drive) for shadow copies. Since you may not have a license for CPS 12.5, that will not work. If you want 2010, you would need to upgrade, or have another device for the server running CPS2010 to replicate to. The license is included with the core on 2010.  Below is a linke to Symantec forum where someone was asking a similar question.

Hi rbarnhardt,  Thanks for the reply.  It sounds like I need to install 2010.  I have licenses for 2010.  I installed on a server but the CPS is grayed out so maybe I don't have 'core' BackupExec.  I will call Symantec.
