Cannot remove Springpad Clipper from Firefox toolbar

How to I remove the Springpad Clipper icon from the toolbar in Firefox 6.0.2?
Firefox Customise Toolbar does not work!

Type "about:config" in address bar and set "plugin.expose_full_path" to true.
then type "about:plugins" in address bar
locate Springpad and remember the path
goto the path and deleted the plugin

After I did this, I could not localt Springpad.

go to Tools>click Addons>click extension and click remove for Springpad

for firefox 6 go to the Firefox menu>click Addons>click extensions>remove springpad
