Thanks for that, strange thing happened now. New Exchange server is up and running, moved my mailbox across with no problems, setup new Outlook profile which connects to the new server and outlook opened without problems. Started moving more mailboxes across and after about 25 mailboxes my outlook lost connection to the new exchange server. setup new outlook profile, check name works great and new server is selected but outlook wont open, just hangs at the spash screen. Moved my maibox back to old server and now its working again. What on earth could have caused this?

What are the steps now needed to migrate the old exchange server to the new exchange server, make sure AD connects to new exchange server, move mailboxes etc.. Then ill switch off the old server
