FTPES only works when VPN connected

Hi

We have setup FTPES (FTP over explicit TLS/SSL) using PureFTPd on a server,
we also have a VPN to our office, we can connect with no problem out side of our
office, but when on the office LAN we can only connect if the VPN is connected,
but with the VPN connected we lose all other internal LAN connections?

Have tried on Windows,MAC & Ubuntu

Am I missing something I should have done on our LAN?

Thanks

Does your connection attempt succeed if you specify the internal address of the server?

If you log into the computer where the server software is running can you connect if you refer to it as localhost?

Hi Alex

FTP server is not on our local LAN, however when connected to the VPN can only FTP to it
using the IP address on the remote LAN, think it may be something to do with our office router
still checking

Thanks
