Anybody familiar with the networking tool "IP Traf" ?

There is an open source networking tool called "ip traf", but I can't get any information on it.  Our remote site is using it, but I don't think it can diagnose an application problem, which is what I suspect is our issue.  What can "ip traf" tell me?

It looks like it is a tool to just track interface statistics...

Limited usefulness, IMHO.
