We have a website which has been developed over a period of time, so things have been added / removed etc.

We are currently using dreamweaver CS4.

Is there a utility available that can investigate a website and identify any orphaned documents, pictures or web pages, so that we can remove them?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, do Site | Check Links Sitewide.

After it runs, you can switch the Report window to Orphaned Files.
