Hi,
I use SharePoint 2007. I have a site which I created and I see this site under Site hierarchy list on the left.

I would like to copy this site with all its content under another SharePoint site which is in different location.

How can I do this process easily?

Can you please explain it with step by step process?

Thanks,

Hello,
You have couple of possibilites here:
If you are using the Enterprise version of SharePoint you can use "Site content and structure" option under the Site Actions:
http://blog.sharepoint-recovery.com/2007/12/11/how-to-move-a-site-in-moss-2007-its-that-simple/

If not:

1. Create a Site Template

If your site doesn't based on Publishing Site template and your site content is smaller than 10mb you can save this site as template include all the content and create it again from this template at different location.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/save-a-site-as-a-site-template-HA010157779.aspx

2. Backup and Restore the site

You can backup and restore your site using SharePoint Designer:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-designer-help/back-up-restore-or-move-a-sharepoint-site-HA010069939.aspx
Video with step-by-step:
http://www.fpweb.net/sharepoint-tutorials/2007/sites/backup-using-sharepoint-designer/

Or using SharePoint backup/restore options(much more complicated):
http://jshenry.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/01/ways_to_backupr.html
http://rehmangul.sauftveyr.com/2007/02/13/how-to-move-sharepoint-sites-from-testing-environment-to-production-environment/

3. Using SharePoint Manager

I hope it helps.

It looks very handy but when I click on my site in site manager, it does only show me move option but not copy option.

What I do now?

Am i missing something?

Thanks,

ok. It was due to a permission problem.
