Setting up a new Win7Pro machine and the printer driver I am installing keeps failing to install. I have installed it on two other machines, not sure why it's giving me trouble on this one.  The driver is installing from a  CD that came with the Konica Minolta MFC 1690.  I did this last week to two other Win7Pro machines, no problems.

Install using the drivers located on the Konica website here > http://onyxftp.mykonicaminolta.com/DownloadFile/Download.ashx?fileid=24034&productid=1167

These are most likely more recent that the ones on the CD.

Couple things. I downloaded from that link and save it to a folder I named Konica driver download. Then I opened the folder and went to the app named setup and ran it.  Gave similar message:

AddPrintProcessor Failed!
pPathName MIMFPROG.DLL
pPrintProcessorName: MIMFPROG
The operation completed successfully

The message I get when I try the CD:

AddPrinterDriver failed!
pName: KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 1690MF
pDriverFile C;\\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\MIMFN50H.DLL
pConfigFile: C:\\Windows|system32\DRIVERS\x64\MNT5UOH.DLL
The operation completed successfully.

I know this printer is at TCP/IP port 192.168.1.69.  I am selecting "create a new TCP/IP port" and then a wizard runs and I put in 192.168.1.69 and hit next.  It seems to be setting up as the next few windows all seem to moving forward, then when it tried to install, it just fails.  I have installed this on other Win7Pro machines last week. I am not sure why this one is giving me trouble.

You running Windows 7 Pro 64bit?

Either way.. try the windows XP drivers... http://onyxftp.mykonicaminolta.com/DownloadFile/Download.ashx?fileid=20876&productid=1167

You may have to do a manual driver addition rather than running setup!

I went to the Konica download site and decided to try the 64 bit Vista version. That one did install.  Thanks!
