upload/delete avatar issue

I'm using a plugin to manage an avatar in a sidebar widget.  On the page if I upload an image, I have to navigate away from the page, then back to it to delete it.  Otherwise, it takes two attempts to remove it.  Same thing with uploading the image.  If I delete an image, I can't just simply upload another image in its place unless I do it a second time, then it works.  If I navigate away from the page, then back again, it works fine on the first try.

Is this a caching issue or what?  Permissions on root dir is set to 775

Without any more details of the plugin you're using, it's hard to give a full answer to this.

Can you provide a link to the plugin that's causing you problems?

It could potentially be a caching issue - are you running any caching plugins with Wordpress at the same time?

it's this plugin:

I then purchased the sidebar widget extension on that same page.  Can I pm you the scripts?
