This is using 1 Cisco ASA 5520 firewall. This is a new firewall and we intend to setup. BTW, how to setup? Is there a step-by-step guide and where can I download? How about any license registration?

Thanks in advance.

For a (very) basic setup, have a look at: http://ezinearticles.com/?Basic-Configuration-Tutorial-For-the-Cisco-ASA-5510-Firewall&id=1888320

This will give you internet connectivity. After that you'll have to decide want you want/need next. Setup a DMZ? Allow outside access to DMZ/inside hosts? Setup VPN? It all depends on what you want to do with the device.

Hi erniebeek,

Thanks for the beginner stage of the setup. I though later that you can use SDM (if I weren't wrong). Can you show steps how to setup SDM to administer ASA through web-based?

To allow ASDM access, you need to enable the HTTPS server, have a look at : http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa71/configuration/guide/mgaccess.html#wp1047288
Should be fairly straightforward.
