MySQL Cluster without Load Balancing

Hi all,

My search around the net has so many ambigious articles it's hard to pick apart a good answer. Especially Google indexing them from 2005 is not helpful!

My host came back saying they don't do Load balancing at this time but I thought you can do this without a physical load balancer? They allow purchase of multiple dedicated servers and I was under the impression you can 'software' load balance.

My application will have very few JOIN queries but huge amount of primary key SELECT queries concurrently - hence I'm thinking cluster is best for this.

Any advice and words I can take back to the host is much appreciated as some people charge killing for LB when I don't think I need the hardware quite yet!

Cheers
David

Sorry, question quickly became out of date as a solution was found - I managed to get a load-balanced setup in the end WITH a load-balancer so apologies there isn't a direct answer to this that developed.
