On a recent reboot, the information store took a long time to start and replayed many log files before starting.

How can I check on my IS and see how it's doing?

Thanks.

Do the above steps Also i suggest you to take the full backup of exchange database so that old log files will get flush.

Check for event id 1221 for white space ,if you have more white space then also run offline defrag on exchange database.

Do a integrity check and also take backup using the program you are having, which will truncate log files. also make sure you are having newer version.
