Jquery autocomplete changes

I have used jquery autocomplete plugin. and it works great for me.

Now I need to start autocomplete a little bit differently. The user will type the name
and click on search so After that click I wanto initialize the autocomplete

it works but works partially. I only want to do the search when I clicked on the search button. In mu case I can do both

the minimum length for a search term is increased to (an arbitrary) 1000 characters.

that is fixed. Now if you clicked on the button once after that you can start typing and get the results without clicking on the search button again

you need to set the close too to set back the minlength

close: function(event, ui) {
        $('#tags').autocomplete('option', 'minLength', 1000);
    }
