Installing Ruby on Rails WEBrick help

Hi,

I am following the Lynda.com Ruby on Rails Essential Training video, but i am having trouble setting everything up.   I have installed ruby/rails, mysql. Next they say too install the webserver,  I have followed everything they said (Use WEBRick which is already installed). When i type  rails server  i get the following in the screenshot, and i am not sure what to do now. I should be seeing the ruby page at localhost:3000  but i get Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to localhost:3000.

Can somebody get me in the right direction please.

Looks as if you have yet to create your Rails application...

Try typing:
   rails new <name-of-your-app>
then do a:
   cd <name-of-your-app>
which should take you into your application (<name-of-your-app> becomes the directory in which your rails app is created).
Then try your
   rails server
from there.

I had already tried what you said, which is exactly what they said on the tutorial, but it did not work.    I decided to start again,  created a new project, moved to that directory, and now it works :)

The "rails server' didn't work previously because you were in c:\Users\Jon, not in the rails directory itself; You may have accidentally cd'd out of the directory before you tried the 'rails server' command.

Anyway, glad that helped... and thanks for the points.
