Unable to access server manager in Windows 2008 server
I have a Windows 2008 Server that won't load the server manager snap-in. When I try I load it I get the following error message
MMC could not create snap-in
MMC could not create snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly
Name: Server Manager
CLSID: FX:{18ea3f92-d6aa-41d9-a20 5-2023400c 8fbb}
I've looked into this issue and I've discovered that it is potential a problem with .NET, which I have run a repair on without success. In addition to this I have run the Microsoft System Readyness tool which does seem to have highlighted any issues either.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Reinstall of .NET resolved this failure
I found this issue can be also caused by the corrupt or missing KB948609 package. Once we fix the KB948609 package
it will be resolved.
