After installion of SQL Server 2008 client software, new entry of 90 folder will be appeared on same path ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE &gt;&nbsp;Software &gt;&nbsp;Microsoft &gt;&nbsp;Microsoft SQL Server &gt;&nbsp;90) that was create with SQL Server 2008 installation.<br />
You need to rename this entery with 90_old2 &nbsp;and will have to change name of previous changed 90.xx entery with 90 that was created with SQL Server 2005 installation whcih will have to chagne for &nbsp;installing SQL Server 2008 client.

I received following error message during the installation of SQL Server 2008 client. SQL Server 2005 is already installed on same machine which is also required.
