I received following error message during the installation of SQL Server 2008 client. SQL Server 2005 is already installed on same machine which is also required.

Please help... how can install SQL Server 2008 without uninstalling SQL Server 2005
Your prompt action will be highly appreciated.

Issue will be resolved after rename the entry of 90 name folder in registery on the following path.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Microsoft SQL Server > 90
Solution:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Microsoft SQL Server > 90_old and re run the setup of SQL Server 2008 client.

After installion of SQL Server 2008 client software, new entry of 90 folder will be appeared on same path ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Microsoft SQL Server > 90) that was create with SQL Server 2008 installation.
You need to rename this entery with 90_old2  and will have to change name of previous changed 90.xx entery with 90 that was created with SQL Server 2005 installation whcih will have to chagne for  installing SQL Server 2008 client.
