Hi Experts

I have an excel add-in, on my local pc I have customised the ribbon to launch a maco contained in the add-in, the problem is that when I use the add-in on another machine, the customised ribbon is lost, I use to be able to program the command toolbars in pre Excel 2007 but now believe I have to edit some XML contained with in the actual Excel file (Excel 2007 post are actually zip files) , does anyone have a good guide on how to customise the ribbon add-in or any advice?

Please note I cannot use VSTO. The customisation of the ribbon must be done via the XML file.

Actually, you still can: in Excel 2003 I very often had add-ins or even just regular files add items to the Worksheet Menu Bar.  In Excel 2007/2010, the CommandBars object model still exists; it adds the menu structures in the Add-Ins tab of the Ribbon.
