I need a straight line chart that represents the times for the attached data along the bottom.  I've tried lots of stuff but nothing is giving me the output needed.  Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Your data series is entered as text, not as numbers.

1) I did a find/replace to look for:

<space>g<period>

and replace it with nothing.  That recast the entries as numbers.  I then applied this custom number format:

0.0" g"

2) I then was able to create a line chart in the usual manner

Outstanding answer!  Charts never did seem to come out right and now I know why.
