How can I embed youtube clips into Sharepoint 2010 Blog

Ok, I've been looking everywhere for the answer to this. When I use the embed code from a youtube clip and put into my Sharepoint 2010 Blog post (using the HTML source option), it shows up just fine in the preview (along with a warning that some of the code may be changed). But then when I publish my blog the video disappears and when I go into edit mode I find that the embedding code has been stripped away.

Please can someone tell me how to stop sharepoint from doing this. The only lead i have that looked hopeful was a post that said this was possible to turn this behaviour off (although not desirable) but then they didnt say how to do it.

Many thanks, jessc7 - I had come across that page but I'm not really into scripting and it lost me at the part where it says, "...It can be either added in a Content Editor web part on the page or registered via feature in a AdditionalPageHead delegate control or added to the master page using SharePoint designer...", I'm sure it's easy when you know how, (but a couple of extra screen shots for idiots would have been great).

Anyway, I'm checking out Windows Live Writer, will let you know how it goes.
oops, forgot about this q, sry.

It cant be done without jumping through some programming hoops that i just dont have the time to learn right now. Anyway, the Windows Live Writer at least puts up an image that hyperlinks to the youtube page with the video - so thanks for pointing it out to me. Hopefully MS will add this basic blog functionality in sometime soon.
