I upgraded to Windows 7 pro pc from Windows XP Pro and was printing from Quickbooks to an old Citizen dot matrix printer.  Now I cannot find drivers for the printer that are compatible with WIn 7.  Here is the printer model. Citizen GSX-145 Wide Carriage printer.  ANy help in finding a driver that would work would be most appreciated.  Or do you think an OKIDATA microline printer would work with QUICKBOOKS?

QuickBooks 2009 is not supported on Windows 7. It may work, but it did not work properly on my Windows 7 machine. Dot Matrix Printers are not well supported on Windows 7.

Consider two approaches:
1. Try a different printer driver like the Okidata or a generic text printer driver.

See below from my own Windows 7 machine. If you do not see that driver, go to Devices and Printers, Add a Printer, Local printer, existing port. Then you see the Have Disk button, and beside it, the Windows Update button. Click on Windows Update to update your printer drivers, allow to complete (takes a while), then cancel (do not add a printer) and restart. Now you can add the generic text driver.

2. You can get a new printer that will work with Windows 7 very inexpensively and that may be your best approach.
