I've recently deleted a user in ADUC. I then attempted to delete/purge the mailbox but recieved the following error:
The operation couldn't be performed because object 'blah blah/user' couldn't be found on 'servername'

How can i purge or delete this mailbox now that i've made the mistake of deleting the user acount first. Thanks

Your mailbox is now on the "disconnected mailbox". You can wait for XX day and your mailbox will be automaticaly cleared (depending of your retention settings).

If you want to deleted you disconected mailbox now, read this article who explain how to do this : http://www.howexchangeworks.com/2010/09/purge-disconnected-or-soft-deleted.html

... but if you want to reconnect mailbox to a AD user :

- create your AD user
- run get-mailboxdatabase | clean-mailboxdatabase
- in EMC, go to "disconnected mailbox" and right clic on your deleted mailbox to reconnect to your new AD user.
