Using mathematica to plot Histogram - frequence count of monthly data

I have the data below - how would I plot it so that each bin shows the total count for the monthly date?

Hi John

You might want to find out how to map functions to lists: http://reference.wolfram.com/mathematica/guide/ApplyingFunctionsToLists.html

In conjunction with a PLOT function like: http://reference.wolfram.com/mathematica/ref/BarChart.html

Sorry for not being much specific but I think a solution might come from there.

I was looking for some code. I have been to these sites and this link and I am unable to figure it out.
