Running SBS 2011 on a VM using 2008R2.

Trying to restore SBS 2011 using the iso (same one used to install and do a previous recovery).  Problem is that it can't find the system image (any of them).

The files show in the console (SBS one) along with bringing the drive online on the host machine.

The backups are going to an internal drive and not a USB drive.

I just did a restore two days ago but went to far back.  I now need to bring up the version that was taken just after the one I restored.

Have another question on system state that is being posted elsewhere too.

Cant you restore what you need from within the GUI as opposed to doing a full restore again?

Yes.  I was able to restore the application settings and also performed a system state recovery.
I know the system state recovery is outside of the console's scope but I was able to do it.

I'm actually fine now (after the two recovery procedures above) but would like to know why it wouldn't show the data - even after letting it search for it for over an hour.  I'd hate to crash and not be able to restore (via boot from disk)....

Is your internal drive where you're storing the backups part of a RAID array?
