Dear Experts

I am using powerbuilder ver. 9 ,  I added a new field at the beginning of a datawindow , the problem when I open  the windows to insert data the cursor starts with the second column (which was it the first) , Tab Order is OK.

 I am new to powerbuilder.

please advise

Hi,

Its always tab order related. Confirm that the tab order is right and not being changed dynamically from the source code.

Another thing u can do is, open the datawindow, go to the data source of the datawindow where the query is displayed.
Now, if you are in the graphical mode, right on top u can see the selection list and list of columns.
Move your new column to the start of the list.

If the datasource view shows the query and its not in the graphical view, modify the query and move the new column name to be the first column on the select.
