IE8 not highlighting or underlining links

My brother's laptop is not highlighting or underlining links in his browser.  When he clicks on a link, it does not change colors indicating that it has been accessed.  He says that it started when he installed a new Linksys Wireless Router.  I am not there to see the problem.  What's happening here?

I cannot ever find Internet Explorer in the zones.  I don't know why...

Thanks...RG

Try restore advanced settings or reset IE settings. you can find this in internet options under the advanced tab. You might lose some saved password with the reset.

Instead of a reset, have you tried just deleting your Internet History from the IE Options?

Clear the history of websites you've visited

Tried the history first with no joy.  Besides, I figure everyone can use a good reset to flush out the nasties once in a while.  <grin>

It sounds to me like jcimarron hit it.  I had actually told him to check this setting verbally, but he is not highly experienced so the link was a good find.

We will see.  Thanks...RG

Any news from your brother about the browser problem??
Yeah, the news is that he is about 100 things to do and this is 101...
This entry describes what I told him initially, only it pinpoints the specific location.  So, I am accepting it.

Thanks to all for your help...RG
RGRodgers--Hope it works out well.  You are welcome.
