Finding empty records filemaker pro 11

I have a database (see attached) that has a script that is supposed to find just records in the 'FirstField' that are not empty. But it does not work. Is there a way to do a perform find just to look for not empty records?

Pacheco,

The way your current Find is set up it was searching for the text string " ¿ " which would be a space, followed by a not equals sign, followed by another space. Since none of your records contain that specific string, the search Finds zero records. The simplest way to search for records having a field empty is to use just the equals sign by itself. The equals sign means "exact match", so following the equals sign by nothing mean "find all records that equal <nothing>", or in other words are empty in that field.

Your script can also be simpler. Instead of using:

Enter Find Mode []
Set Field [First Fields ; "="]
Perform Find []

you can simply use a Perform Find with a saved Find Request on that field:

Perform Find [Restore]

 Saved Find Requests
 Specific saved Find Request
