Exchange 2010 slow to process internal emails
Looking for some advice on the following issue
We are running exchange 2010 latest patch patch in hyper v enviroment, 12 GB Ram , 4 cores.
Recenlty we have increased from 30-40 user mailboxes , Emails are slow to process when sent between users internally however any external connections ie active sync are ok .
Is this a throttling issue ? also majority of internal machines are Mac.
Thanks

How are your internal mac users connecting to Exchange?

No, are they connecting to your Exchange server via POP3, Exchange, etc.
With the configuration that you mention, the response of the server should not be slow for the amount of mailboxes it is hosting. Is there any RAID in place? are the internal URL's of exchange clearly defined and seperated from the External URL's? Also check the DNS name resolution from internal clients to the Exchange Server.
