Macintosh: Operating system

Hi,

1) I want to learn the Mac Operating system
2) I am used to with the Microsoft Windows Operating system (Win 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista and 7)

3) I want to learn Mac OS something  like windows XP, Vista and 7

4) My questions:
First: What are the name of the Mac OS which are similar to Window XP, Vista or 7?
Second: Is there any way that I can get the free download of the evaluation version of the above operating system?

5) Thank you

You have to have a Mac to get the operating system running.  If you get a used Mac, you may be able to get a copy of OS X that will run on it from eBay or somewhere else that will resell used copies.  To me, OS X seems a lot like Windows but other people see it as being very different.  Mac OS X is a pretty GUI on top of what started out as BSD Unix.  It has probably evolved quite a bit since version 10.0.  There aren't any legal free downloads.

What about evaluation version?

There isn't an evaluation version.  Apple Macintosh computers come with Mac OS X and it is only sold for use with them.  There is apparently code in the install routines that checks for legal Apple Macintosh hardware before it will install.  The companies that have hacked the code to run on other hardware have been sued by Apple and they have been prevented from selling altered versions.
