Outlook Hyperlinks Opening With Incorrect Program
I am running outlook 2010. When I click on a hyperlink in outlook the "Open With" dialog comes up rather than the link opening. The Current open with program is garbled characters and no program i choose (IE included) works.
I am running Windows 7 and checked the "default programs" app and checked that IE was the default app - but that didn't help.

Have to tried resetting default settings of Internet Explorer?
what is the actual link ? What kind of file is it ?

I checked the program defaults and IE is default.
I checked the specific file associations for htm, html, http, https and ftp are all pointed to Internet explorer.
The actual link - i dont know. The screen shot shows some odd (maybe chinese) characters.
on that screen that comes up asking what program to use - even if i select Internet Explorer - nothing happens.
Just to cover my bases i ran a repair of office, ran virus scanner, malware bytes, superantispyware and spybot.

Have you tried the restore of my previous post?

Make sure the file type reset is done for HTML and HTM files.
