Hello

I am looking to develop a social networking site for one of my clients and looking for an appropriate framework on ASP.net ( not PHP ), which would be both stable , cheap ( if not free ) as well having good functionality.

I have looked at a few options on DNN such as

http://social.codeplex.com/
smart thinker
Active Social

I also had a look at community server but I think it would be a costly affair

Another question for Active Social users would be is it is opensource and to what extent I can customize it

thanks

Always take a look at the license that can be found here:

The source code is here:

http://social.codeplex.com/SourceControl/list/changesets

Also take a look at this one:

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.
