Changing Laptops Battery mAh

I have a HP DV6 4023TX which came with a DV6 series - 10.8v and 4910 mAh.

I would like the battery to last longer and wonder whether I can use this in conjunction with a DV6 series -10.8V 9,600 mAh.

Depends almost entirely on if the laptop battery will fit in the laptop. If the battery is for a different laptop I don't think it will fit, but if the battery does fit and the voltages match, the larger battery will probably work for you just fine.

Some laptops come with several different "sizes" of battery you can get - e.g. the laptop might come with a 6-cell battery, but you can opt to get a 9-cell heavy battery that sticks out the back a little. This might be the case for you, but it needs to be explicitly supported by your laptop manufacturer.

You can't "mix and match" batteries from different laptops if they are not made explicitly compatible (both in voltage, and in form-factor and connector) by the manufacturer.

Thank you I will check the dimensions and also with HP to be on the safe side for that matter.
