I need to trasfer my word and excel files from my laptop to Ipad

I need to trasfer some some of my word and excel files to my Ipad. How can I do it. Also how can I browse and access these files in my Ipad.

btw... you need the Pages app to view word files, and the Numbers app to view excel files.

Try using dropbox, anything you add to a dropbox folder will appear on the Ipad's drop box, then open the files using FileApp

You can transfer files from a PC to an iPad using ITunes on your PC with your iPad connected. And, as flubbster says, you need the apps to view the files.

Not true.  The iPad has an internal viewer which will display either file.  You need Pages/Numbers or Documents To Go to EDIT them...

You can either transfer these files via iTunes or Emails. You may view these documents within the email app but the installation of iWorks (Numbers, Pages and Keynotes) or other office applications is required if you want to edit these documents.
