Possible to expand a horizontal spry menu from a link on the page?

Hello - I have a horizontal spry menu on my page (working well thanks the experts here!)  I want to expand a menu item from a link on the page.  Is that possible?

You can, but it's not the easiest thing in the world to do.  What you would want to do is use addClass() to change the class of the top level menu item's <a> tag to add MenuBarItemSubMenuHover.  That should open the submenu...

Thanks, jason1178.  I'll try to play with it today if I get the time.  Would you know of any examples out there that I might reference?

No, sorry.  I won't use Spry menus in production precisely because of the lack of easy modification to the base functionality.  Grab any jquery-based menu system and it will be a lot easier to do stuff like this.

Thanks - I've not had time to look at this anymore, but now I know where to start.
