Scroll icon in every row.  How to get ride of?

Help please...

I was creating an array and copying it down; somehow there is now an icon of a scroll in every one of those cells--even though the array has been deleted.  The only way I've found to get rid of the icon is to click on and delete it.  I have 9900 rows with it so this is unfeasible.   When I deleted the column they were in they moved to the next column.  Is there a way to delete them?

Thanks.

Hello,

"icon of a scroll"? This sounds like you copied content from the web and the html code contained code, like JavaScript.

Try this:

Hit F9, click Special, tick Objects and hit OK. Hit the Delete key.

Are the scroll icons gone now?

cheers, teylyn

The F9 key doesn't do anything...  Is there another way to get to whatever you're referencing?

Typo, F5, Sorry, I meant F5.

This opens the GoTo dialog.

Teylyn, sorry for the delay.  Tried several times, didn't work.  Any other suggestions?

You may need to repeat this several times to catch all the objects.

I just copied and pasted a web page into Excel. The first round of F5 > Special > Objects > Delete only deleted the images. The script icons were still showing. The next cycle of F5 > Special > Objects > Deleted the script icons.

In the first screenshot you can see parts of the script showing when the mouse hovers over a script icon.
In the second screenshot you see the script icons selected (that was the second cycle of F5 etc.)

The file is so big it must have just taken a long time for the process to work.  Thanks again for your help!
