Hi;

I have an issue where a Star TSP 100 printer worked fine but now everytime you attempt to print from the POS software the printer pauses. However, when the POS is closed all the receipts which were sent print..

The machine acts as a NComputing hosts. NComputing uses virtualisation technology ( www.ncomputing.com ).

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. I have tried restoring the computer but with no success.

The machine is running XP SP3

Thank you in advance.

Have you checked the status of the print spooler service when the issue occurs?
Ensure it is set to automatic.
In the printer driver, is there an option to start printing immediately or start printing after the last page is spooled? You may have it set to print after last page is spooled.
In the same section of the printer properties you should also be able to tell it to print directly to the printer.
See if those options make any difference.

Hi;

It is set to spool.

I think there is an issue with the POS software

As a test, try setting it to print directly to the printer instead of spooling. It will rule out an issue with that.

Hi;

None of these worked. Turns out the problems was related to other software on the machine

The issue was caused by third party software so non of the solutions worked.
