JQuery and Ajax in Custom/Composite Control

I have built a composite control that has drop down, textboxes and submit button and it all works fine.

Now I want to integrate JQuery popup model dialog box to update users with messages, data insert successfully or failed.

I also want to integrate AJAX popup calendar control with one of date field textbox to help user select calendar date.

Can anyone please help me or point me in right direction how to use JQuery and Ajax with Composite Control or Custom Control (not user control, I’ve done that).

Some live examples will be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.
