moz-border-radius
border-radius.htc


I have borders that work on ie8 and below

but when I put the code into a large content managment system (so code is difficult to share) I do not get the borders

is there something else that ie needs in the beginning of css

No, but it should be able to locate border-radius.htc properly.
For example IE cannot locate file inside of rar file, you have to extract it first.

As SSupreme said, make sure that you have it extracted. Also make sure the path your calling it from inside the CSS file is correct.

Can you show us your CSS code that your calling?

ASKER

I use html file and have <style> at the top, just like in the example
and copy paste this into large content management system code

I try calling relative/absolute path of border-radius.htc file

Not inside a CSS file. Your CSS should be something like this:

You don't need to include it as it will be included via CSS file itself.

when I run this in ie8

dialog box access is denied to
http://localhost/border-radius.htc


even if I change that url ie8 still has dialog box

or there are no borders

Is this (images/slider_inactive.png) image can be accessed? if yes, place your border-radius.htc into images folder and rewrite path like this behavior: url(images/border-radius.htc); .

and it didnt change

so I added

Oh, and obviously if you are applying it to #product with path url(border-radius.htc); file should be available from  http://localhost/border-radius.htc as well.

Yes, place it in one folder, but make sure it can be accessed from browser, right correct path and you'll be fine.
or buy hosting and test files there and if you have any troubles it would be easier to help you, by showing correct direction what to do. 1&1 is cheap hoster.
