Windows file and directory, Access is denied

In windows I am getting an access is denied when I try to ren the dir, or delete the files in the dir

How do I fix that

How do I see the permissions of each file / dir ?

How do I change them.

Are you using the GUI (Windows Explorer) for access?  Right click on the file or folder in question and select "Properties" from the context menu.  Then look at the Security tab.

If I understand your issue (a single directory, multiple files), then looking at the GUI puts you in the right place to both identify and fix the problem as a one-off.

If you need a GUI to recurse the file system, try AccessEnum (from Windows SysInternals).

If you want the same kind of functionality from the command line, check out AccessChk (also from SysInternals).

Hope that helps!  If you still have questions once you've looked at the permissions, post back here with what you've found.
