Hello
Calling all voip and networking Experts
I got a huge issue with my Cucm pls look at the attachment to see the design .
The issue is that I got 46 IP communicators (soft phones) on the LAN (on a different  vlan from the CUCM –vlan 70) that getting disconnected , unregistered , and goes to SRST mode .
All the PCs with the IP communicator connected to high end switch 2960S with lan Base , a really expensive switch that connected to 4500  (ios - 4500e-lanbasek9-mz.122-54.SG)  with lag (2 giga copper)  .
I did the "sh int counters error " on the 2960s and everything looks great , no errors , also on the 4500 .

The error the I receiving from the voice gateway 2900 router with PRI and SRST configs–
 Sep 26 17:16:45.827: %IPPHONE-6-REG_ALARM: 14: Name=001CC42F9658 Load= 7.0.6.0 Last=UCM-closed-TCP

Erros on the CUCM -
16:09:43.186 |EndPointUnregistered - An endpoint has unregistered Device name:001F29AE4D77 Device IP address:10.10.70.19 Protocol:SCCP Device type:30016 Device description:GLB-AM-04 Reason Code:13 IPAddressAttributes:3 App ID:Cisco CallManager Cluster ID:StandAloneCluster Node ID:ISR-CUCM|Alarm001F29AE4D77^*^001F29AE4D77
16:09:43.186 |Device UnRegister deviceName : 001F29AE4D77, Protocol : 1|*^*^*

I updated the Ip communicator the the latest version 8.6 .
no ips , ids , firewall between .
I opened a case on CISCO and they don’t have any solution for ME !

Do you have deskphones with same issue?
Firewalls in beetween?
Have you tried older CIPC  versions?

You will need to collect a packet capture from the CallManager servers and from the PCs in order to understand what is happening.

From the CallManager perspective, you are looking at keepalive timeouts. Thats the issue manifesting itself on the voice system, but not necessarily the culprit is the telephony system. Most of the times this is an underlying network problem. Again, the packet captures will tell us that.

A packet capture from both the PC and the primary CallManager will reveal what is happening. You are saying it was happening same way as now with a previous CIPC version, and TAC suggested updating?
