1:  oracle.install.db.config.starterdb.characterSet=WE8MSWIN1252    is this correct entry in the rep file for a silent installation of Oracle 11gr2 on Linux?

Which is faster and easier for a remote installation on a server?
Gui installation or silentinstallation?

What do you want/need the character set to be?  If WE8MSWIN1252 then it is probably correct.
