SBS 2011 and WSUS issues

I have migrated a customer from SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 which has gone fine, the only issue was that the old SBS 2003 WSUS was screwed so I didnt move anything over.

What I want to do is to get the clients to check the WSUS server for approved updates but then download them from the internet. Is this possible? Also I am not using the SBS Console to do any config I am using the WSUS console and I want to set this using a GPO, when I browse the WSUS Admin site I dont really get much to go on I just get a directory listing as shown in the pic. Looking at the GPO I need to enter 2 website addresses to get this to work, one for the updates site and one for the statistics site, however what are the default addresses for these on an SBS 2011 server? Results When Browsing

There is no longer a "WSUS Admin site", you need to use the MMC

On your WSUS server, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Microsoft Windows Server Update Services

"Looking at the GPO I need to enter 2 website addresses to get this to work, one for the updates site and one for the statistics site, however what are the default addresses for these on an SBS 2011 server?"

Put in the servername for both followed by :8530

http://servername:8530

I have set the WSUS server to not store updates locally, wil this then force the clients to download from the internet using these 2 intranet settings I put in the GPO?

"wil this then force the clients to download from the internet using these 2 intranet settings I put in the GPO?"

Be aware that this will generate alot of bandwidth as all the client Pc's will now download directly from Microsoft, rather than a central location(Your WSUS server).

You might want to store updates locally, but be sure that it's on a separate volume from your system drive.

Downloading from MS is the best solution as the SBS 2011 is hosted and there is a leased line between the office and the client I dont want the updates to download across this leased line I want them to download them from their local ADSL connection the use for browsing. Thanks very much for your responses, they are very much appreciated :)

That option is typically used in a scenario when users are VPN'ing into the network.
