Google maps freezes IE8

I have a user who has recently started using google maps for research. While using google maps IE freezes and she has to restart the explorer. I've had her delete her browser cache, but it didn't help.

Hello,

Does she have any addons active in IE such as the Google toolbar?  Try starting IE with all add-ons disabled.  Go to Internet Options > Programs tab > Manage Add-ons.  Disable all of them and then close and re-open IE.  If that works, then an add-on is causing the issue.

If that does not work, then go to File and export her favorites, feeds, and cookies to back them up.  Then go back to Internet Options > Advanced tab, and click Reset... to restore IE to it's absolute defaults.  Then try again.

If it still fails, try IE9 or Firefox to see if the issue occurs there.

I don't know if she took any of my suggestions, but she said that it was working fine yesterday. I'll check beack with her on monday to see if she is having problems again or not.

Okay, here's the problem. I have a user that uses Google maps. When she tries to use the street view is when it freezes, not just when she navigates to it. Everything else is fine, only when she tries the street view does it lock up IE. Then she has to use the Task Manager to close it and reopen. Even after reopening she still can't use the street view without it locking up.

Disableing her add-ons did not help.

I see.  Street view uses Flash, can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the flash plugin?
