If VPLS has an MTU of 1514 and the default for Cisco equipment is 1500 bytes then will the mismatch cause fragmentation?

Does the Cisco default of 1500 bytes usually need to be changed when implementing VPLS?

It shouldn't cause fragmentation or any other major issue because modern network devices should auto-negotiate the best MTU size, but it is a best practice to match the setting across your network devices.
