"It was a registry error related to the video display."

I wish I could help...... Whats the exact error?

Video Adapter/driver information is stored here....

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum

There will be a subkey where you will have to search for your Model Number.....

Example....
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9581&SUBSYS_30C5103C&REV_00\4&40adcab&0&0008

Additionally, might be some service related entries here for the Display Driver.....

Example....
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\atikmdag

Now I am not telling you to start deleting stuff..... But with the error in hand, we might be able to figure out why it is not working.....
